Bauchi Govt Organises Three-Day Workshop On Accountability, Peace

Political appointees and the state workforce in the state have been tasked to be agents of good governance, transparency and accountability for the political stability of the state.

Declaring a two-day workshop opened for commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Chairmen, permanent secretaries Declaring governor Bala Mohammed said the move is to improve the capacity of participants to operate in accordance with laid down rules of government business, as well as to enhance smooth operation for service delivery.

Represented by Deputy Governor Senator Baba Tela, said building the capacity of
state workforce will no doubt uplift the machinery of Government towards meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.

According to him, the workshop became necessary for public officers to be trained and guided towards a paradigm shift in the conduct of Government activities.

Speaking earlier, the secretary to the state government Barrister Kashim Ibrahim said the exercise is aimed at guiding participants on ethics of public service and to build their capacity for effective delivery of service where he implored them to reciprocate the gesture by making an impact in their various MDAs.
