Bauchi Police Parades Three Kidnappers, Rapist

In an effort to stem the tide of crimes and criminalities in Bauchi State, the Bauchi State Police Command has paraded three suspected kidnappers and a rapist in the state.

SP Ahmed Muhammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer Bauchi State Command stated this in a press statement made available to reporters in Bauchi on Saturday.

He said that police arrested one Adamu Musa 27-year-old, who masterminded the kidnapping of a 15-years-old boy from Alkaleri Local Government of the state.

The PPRO said the command arrested one Abdulrahman Isma’il 25- year-old from Ningi LG for allegedly kidnapping a 5-year-old boy. The suspect demanded one million naira in ransom for the release of his victim.

SP Wakil said one Ya’u Haruna 25-year-old from Tafawa Balewa local government area of the state while attempting to collect the sum of eight million naira ransom for the release of one Adamu Musa, 40, in their deen.

He said that the suspects confessed to the crimes for which they were apprehended. A police investigation is still ongoing to unravel the nexus of the matters, adding the suspects will be taken to court for prosecution.

Similarly, the command said it has arrested Ali Lawan of Kirfi local government for allegedly raping his three-year-old baby following a tip-up about the scene police in Kirfi received from his wife.

“It is also gratifying to note that Bauchi state has been peaceful and secured. Pockets of criminal acts being exhibited by a few recalcitrant criminals are being checkmated while those arrested are made to face the full wrath of the law,” He warned.
