CLIMATE CHANGE: MEDA Trains Journalists To Educate Citizens On Dangers Of Environmental Pollution In Bauchi

Mennonite Economic Development Associates MEDA, has organized a one day workshop to some selected working journalists in Bauchi State on Climate Change, Environmental Pollution and how to address the environmental conflict.

In his keynote address, the Resource Person at the workshop, Mr. Salihu Samuel Wambio noted that waste products such as bottle water and plastic products have contributed alot in damaging the nature of environment.

He observed that, lack of planting treees has affected the climate negatively, hence the need for the participants to imbite the habit of planting and avoid unnecessary cutting of trees in the forest.

Mr Salihu Wambio said the reason behind organizing the workshop is to educate the citizens through the journalists on the dangers of environmental pollution, Climate change and the way out.

In his remark,the Deputy Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists Bauchi State Council, Malam Ahmad Kaigama commended the MEDA for organizing the workshop,describing it as timely and promised to utilize the opportunity for maximum result.
