CSOs Task To Support Gov Bala’s Policies

Civil society organizations in Bauchi state have been urged to have more knowledge in supporting government efforts to have a better society.

This was stated at a one-day orientation workshop organized by the office of the Special Assistant to the Bauchi State governor on local NGO’s in collaboration with local NGO’s in Bauchi State.

Our Correspondent reports that the special assistant on local NGO’s to the Bauchi State governor Zainab AD Rufai, who is the chief organizer of the event said her office will work hand in hand with government and relevant stakeholders in the non-governmental sector so as to archive their goals.

Hajiya Zainab also said the essence of organizing the workshop is to share their vision and activities as partners so as to make sure that local NGO’s and CSO’s are more focused than before.

The special assistant thanked the Bauchi State governor for finding her worthy and reappointed her for the second time to continue as a special assistant on local NGO’s.

She, therefore, called on the participants to step down what they have learned in the workshop to those who were not opportune to be at the event so as to have a successful mission.

On their part, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki and secretary to the Bauchi state government Kashim Ibrahim said they were impressed with the civil society organizations saying that such will go a long way in spreading the good work of the present administration.

They called on the participant of the workshop to put their hands together to assist governments efforts so as the good people of the state will have the opportunity to reap the dividend of democracy.

While some of the facilitators drew the attention of the participants to make sure they enlighten their members on good governance and the importance of cooperative societies.
