Ex-Radio Nigeria Boss Backs Bauchi Gov’s Presidential Ambition
Dr Ladan Salihu Ilelah, a former Director-General of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN has publicly declared his support for the 2023 presidential ambition of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.
The Northern Elders Forum in a controversial decision picked Bala Mohammed and former Senate President Abubakar Bokukla Saraki as consensus presidential candidates of the region under PDP.
After last Friday’s Northern Elders’ announcement, Sokoto State governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal withdrew from the consensus arrangement citing a lack of transparency in the process.
Dr Salihu who was a former Chief of Staff at Government House Bauchi said the decision of the elders must be respected by all and sundry.
He called on the PDP to zone its presidential ticket to the Northeast.
Dr Salihu is in the run for the Bauchi South Senatorial contest under PDP.
