Oil: Bauchi Gov Promises Skills Acquisition Center In Alkaleri

With the discovery of Oil and Gas in Alkaleri local government, the Bauchi state Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has pledged his administration commitment to establish a skill acquisition centre for Youth and women in the area.

The Governor made the ascertain after spending two days in Alkaleri as part of community engagement with various stakeholders including community leaders, traditional and religious leaders, NGOs as well as youth and women groups.

Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad said the centre when established will provide the required Manpower through engaging youth into various semi-skilled acquisitions in the area of exploration of the natural resources.

The Governor described the area as the future of Nigeria, saying it has been blessed with a huge amount of natural resources such as oil and gas, coal, columbate, tantalite as well a large area of agriculture.

He also acknowledges the support of the community leaders to his administration, while charging them to put more effort into seeing that their community is safe and secure from all criminal activities.

Our correspondent observed that the visit was part of Community engagement to poster security, communal relationship, and love between the Governor and his Constituent.
