Bauchi Assembly Hails Bala, Budget Commissioner Over Well Prepared 2022 Budget

Bauchi State House of Assembly has applauded Governor Bala Mohammed and his Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Aminu Hammayo for well prepared 2022 Budget.

The House according to its Chairman, Budget and Appropriation Committee, Abdulkadir Dewu, the assembly also commended the state government including the Accountant General, Dr Abubakar Saidu for the performance of 2021 budget and the timely posting of the budget on the official website of the state.

Reacting to the development, the State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Aminu Hammayo assured the determination of the ministry to strengthen its implementation robust framework in order to ensure that the performance of the 2022 Budget is be better than that of the 2021.

“On behalf of His Excellency the Governor, I want to thank the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, principal officers and members for the speedy passage of the 2022 Budget. One phase has been concluded but it has opened the new phase that is implementation and we are strengthen our robust framework.

“The 2022 Budget comes with a lot of hope, hope that has been generated by the history of performance of the governor because of what he has done in the last two years. The performance gives a very very clear picture of what you intend and we are confident that you will do more in 2022.”

Aminu Hammayo expressed gratitude to Governor Bala for his outstanding support to the ministry and pledged to reciprocate the gesture by supporting his administration to succeed.

The Budget Commissioner used the medium to solicit for the full support of critical stakeholders in budget implementation to enable the state implement the budget in line with international best practice.
