Bauchi Govt, USAID Conducts Free TB Test

Bauchi state ministry of health in conjunction with USAID breakthrough action Nigeria has presided over 2022 Tuberculosis testing and covid-19 Vaccination campaign in the state.

The exercise which is part of activities lined up to mark this year’s national Tuberculosis testing week involves awareness and campaign on the importance of prompt response to symptoms and signs of illnesses and was held at Unguwar Ngas community of Bauchi local government.

Speaking with Albarka radio some residents of the area Mr. Barnabas Jibji and Jonathan Jasper both expressed delight over the exercise saying it is a wake up call.

On her part a women leader of Unguwar Ngas community madam Elizabeth Yahya commended the Bauchi government for prioritizing healthcare of the people.

She equally urged the residents to come out enemas to be tested for Tuberculosis and coronavirus Vaccination for their health benefits.

In his remark, the village head of Unguwar Ngas community Malam Monday Waziri said people of the area have been patiently waiting for such intervention and called for more initiatives for the benefit of the society.
