ZAAR Elders Demand Investigation Into Bogoro crisis, Prosecution of Suspects

The Sayawa Council of Elders has called on Security agencies in the state to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the barbaric act that occurs at the Baba Peta Gonto 21st memorial and official lunching of Peta Gonto Foundation that happened on the 31st December 2021in Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State.

The Council Assistant Secretary, Bala S. Madaki made the Call during a press conference held at NUJ Secretariat Bauchi.

Bala Madaki described the attack as ugly and unfortunate, hence the need for the persons involved to face justice to serve as a deterrent to other Criminally minded fellows and their sponsors.

Madaki added that the council will continue to operate on non-partnership to protect the interest of the ZAAR Community irrespective of political affiliation, Ideology, faith and clan social status.

He called on all Sayawa groups and Individuals to stop posting inciting, provocative and inflammatory statements that would cause disunity, especially on social media.

He used the medium to call on Government to ensure that all those innocent persons who suffer loss in any form are compensated.

The Council urged all ZAAR sons and daughters to remain law-abiding and desist from making any form of incitement and violence.
