To this end, the JAC has issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Bauchi State government starting from November 19, 2024.

Comrade Abubakar Ahmed revealed that failure to address the minimum wage issue by the state government within the allotted time will lead to industrial action.

He stated that the staff members are currently burdened by inadequate compensation that falls short of the federal government’s minimum wage directive, adding that their key demands and Concerns are Immediate Implementation of Minimum Wage.

Speaking on the issue of new pension scheme, Comrade Abubakar Ahmed stated that the new contributory pension scheme may impose a significant burden on workers due to existing financial deductions.
