The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Sociocultural Association has suspended the chairmen of its Taraba, Bauchi, and Adamawa State chapters over alleged poor performance, lack of representation, and neglect of members’ welfare.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National Public Relations Officer of the association, Ambassador Mohammed Tasiu Suleiman, and made available to journalists on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the suspension followed numerous complaints from Fulani pastoralists in the affected states, prompting the National President of the association, Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Bello Bodejo (Lamido Fulbe), to take decisive action after thorough scrutiny and consideration.
Those affected by the suspension are Bammi Bello Jane of Taraba State, Muhammad Hussaini Buzaye of Bauchi State, and Usman Abubakar Yirilabe of Adamawa State.
The statement explained that the decision was necessary to restore trust and confidence among members, stressing that the suspended chairmen are no longer authorized to represent the association or hold any leadership positions.
“The National President calls upon all relevant security authorities and stakeholders to desist from working with the suspended chairmen, as they are no longer authorized to represent the association,” the statement read in part.
The association further warned that any attempts by the suspended officials to parade themselves as leaders of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore will be met with prosecution according to the law, adding that it would not tolerate actions capable of bringing the association into disrepute.
While reaffirming his commitment to the welfare and well-being of all members, Dr. Bodejo assured that the association will continue to work tirelessly to promote the interests and needs of Fulani pastoralists across the country.
