Bauchi Govt Appoints Zainab Garba Musa as Special Assistant to First Lady

The Bauchi State Government has approved the appointment of Zainab Garba Musa as Special Assistant (Chief Press Secretary to Her Excellency, the First Lady of Bauchi State).

The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated 29th January, 2026, issued from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo.

According to the letter, the approval was granted by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, in recognition of Zainab Garba Musa’s proven record of sincerity, hard work, dedication, exemplary conduct, as well as her wealth of experience and sense of responsibility.

The SSG expressed confidence that the appointee would deploy these qualities in addressing the responsibilities of her new office, towards supporting the collective vision and goals of the present administration and delivering positive change to the people of Bauchi State.

The letter further stated that her remuneration would be in line with existing government circulars and relevant public service rules, as may be amended from time to time.

Zainab Garba Musa was also advised to formally indicate her acceptance of the appointment to enable further necessary actions, and to declare her assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau, Bauchi Office, in line with constitutional requirements.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

Zainab Garba Musa hails from Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
