The Bauchi State House of Assembly has expressed its readiness to provide the necessary legislative and institutional backing for the effective implementation of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project in the state.
Chairman of the House Committee on Education, Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala, gave the assurance during a two-day review and validation session of the AGILE life skills manual for adolescent girls. He was represented at the event by the committee’s secretary, Ahmad Salim Hussaini Gital.
Dr. Ala reiterated the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting policies and programmes that promote inclusive, quality, and transformative education in Bauchi State.
He also commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his continued investment in the education sector. He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Education under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Lawal Rimin Zayam, describing it as instrumental in improving learning outcomes across the state.
The lawmaker stressed the importance of ensuring the long-term sustainability of the AGILE life skills manual, describing it as a critical component of the project’s successful implementation.
