By Abdulaziz Garba

The Bauchi State Ministry of Education has joined the global community in celebrating teachers as the world marked this year’s World Teachers’ Day, describing them as the “true nation builders.”

In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Jalaludeen Usman, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam, commended teachers across Bauchi State for their dedication, sacrifices, and commitment to shaping the future of children through knowledge, skills, and character building.

Dr. Rimin Zayam noted that no reward can adequately match the value of teachers’ contributions, adding that their reward remains with God. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustaining policies and programmes that enhance teachers’ welfare and professional development.

The statement further acknowledged the unwavering support of the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his sustained investment in the education sector. These include teacher training, improved salaries, promotions, and fresh recruitments aimed at strengthening the state’s education system.

“As we celebrate this year’s World Teachers’ Day, themed ‘The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want’, the Bauchi State Ministry of Education salutes every teacher for their resilience, dedication, and passion for nurturing the next generation,” the statement read in part.
