September 30, 2024 1 minute read

The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has suspended two Permanent Secretaries and one Chief Executive Officer (Account) from the State Service over serious misconduct.

The affected officials are Sa’idu Abubakar, Danjuma Garba (Permanent Secretaries) and Bala Ibrahim Sabo (Chief Executive Officer, Account).

According to a statement by Saleh Umar, Information Officer of the Commission, the suspension took effect on September 27, 2024.

The Commission’s Chairman, Alh. Abubakar Usman Madakin Bunu, warned state servants to adhere to rules and regulations, emphasizing the Commission’s efforts to sanitize the state’s civil service.

The suspended officials are currently attached to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ministry of Higher Education, and Ministry of Natural Resources.

The Commission suspended them under Section 0331 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations to pave the way for further investigation.
