By Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram

Adamawa State, a land renowned for its linguistic harmony and cultural diversity, has been described as a beacon of strength in unity. In a heartfelt message to the people of Adamawa, the Northeast, and the nation at large, Sarkin Gabas Adamawa called for hope, resilience, and collective action toward a brighter future.

Reflecting on the challenges of the past year, the Sarkin Gabas acknowledged the hardships faced by the people, likening them to “a bend in the road” that is surmountable with determination and focus. He urged citizens to see adversity as an opportunity for growth and renewal.

“Adamawa is a tapestry woven with the threads of countless dialects and cultures. Our diversity is our strength,” he said, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration to overcome challenges and build a prosperous future.

Addressing the broader Northeast and Nigeria, the Sarkin Gabas expressed optimism that the current difficulties would pass, urging all Nigerians to work together with diligence and unity to create a nation where every dream is valid and every voice is heard.

He further highlighted the significance of diversity, stating, “It is not the size of the ocean but the diversity of its waters that gives life to the world.” He called on the people of Adamawa to continue serving as a river of hope, flowing toward a horizon of shared prosperity.

As 2025 begins, the Sarkin Gabas extended his wishes for a year of blessings, progress, and peace. “Together, let us build bridges where walls once stood and light beacons where darkness once reigned. The best days of Adamawa, the Northeast, and Nigeria lie ahead,” he concluded.

He prayed for God’s blessings on Adamawa, the Northeast, and Nigeria as a whole.
