In a move to dispel lingering misconceptions, the ZAAR Muslim Association has emphatically declared that Muslims and mosques are present and thriving in Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi State. This statement was made during a press conference in Bauchi, where the Association’s Chairman, Comrade Dauda Ali, reaffirmed the significant presence and contributions of the Muslim community in the area.

“We want to set the record straight: there are Muslims and mosques in Tafawa Balewa,” said Comrade Dauda Ali. “Our community has been an integral part of the region’s development, and we take pride in our heritage and contributions to the area’s growth.”

This clarification comes amidst widespread misconceptions about the religious composition of Tafawa Balewa. The Association’s statement highlights the importance of unity and factual representation in fostering peaceful coexistence.

The ZAAR Muslim Association also took the opportunity to commend Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for his decision to approve the creation of the Sayawa Chiefdom, with its headquarters in Tafawa Balewa. The move, according to the Association, demonstrates the governor’s commitment to addressing long-standing issues and promoting peace in the region.

“We commend Governor Muhammad for his courageous decision to approve the creation of the Sayawa Chiefdom,” Comrade Ali stated. “We believe this decision will foster peace and stability in the region, and we pledge our unwavering support for the governor’s efforts to ensure harmony among the people.”

Governor Muhammad’s administration has been lauded for adopting an inclusive approach in addressing the complexities surrounding the chiefdom’s establishment. By instituting a Fact-Finding Committee, the administration sought to ensure that all stakeholders were adequately represented in the process.

Speaking on the issue, Governor Muhammad reiterated his commitment to transparency and development. “We will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that the creation of the Sayawa Chiefdom is done in a peaceful and transparent manner,” the governor said. “We are committed to promoting peace and development in the region and will not be deterred by any obstacles.”

The governor’s decision has received widespread acclaim from stakeholders in Tafawa Balewa and beyond, with many describing it as a landmark achievement that will significantly contribute to regional stability and development.

The ZAAR Muslim Association praised the administration’s bold stance, describing it as a testament to Governor Muhammad’s determination to resolve historical disputes and foster unity.

“Governor Muhammad’s decision is a courageous step toward addressing the lingering challenges associated with the chiefdom’s creation,” Comrade Ali added. “It is a bold testament to his administration’s dedication to peace, and we stand firmly in support of these efforts.”

As the process for the Sayawa Chiefdom’s creation progresses, the ZAAR Muslim Association has called for continued cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure that the initiative translates into lasting peace and prosperity for the region.
