The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State has held a grand reception in honour of the newly elected State Party Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Mohammed Na’iya.
The event, organized by the APC Giade LGA chapter and key stakeholders, took place at the party’s local government secretariat, drawing party officials, supporters, and community members who gathered to celebrate what they described as a significant political milestone.
Speaking at the occasion, the APC Chairman in Giade LGA, Alhaji Sani Isah Tela, expressed appreciation to party members and leaders who attended the reception.
“As people gathered to welcome our new State Secretary, we have nothing to say but thank you. I extend my gratitude to the serving and former state assembly members, as well as members of the APC executive who accompanied their son back home to Giade,” he said.
He noted that the massive turnout at the reception demonstrated the party’s strength in the area.
“The way we came out to receive our son shows that even if elections are held tomorrow in Giade and Shira, APC will emerge victorious. The new State Secretary is a man of integrity and trust.”
Alhaji Tela added that the emergence of the new secretary would help reposition the party for greater success in Bauchi State.
“We are confident that with his leadership, APC will be reformed and positioned to take over governance in Bauchi State.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of APC Stakeholders in Giade, Alhaji Liman Bello, described the gathering as a symbol of unity within the party.
“Today, we accompanied our son, Alhaji Aminu Na’iya, to celebrate his emergence as the new APC State Secretary. We pray for God’s guidance in his leadership. We are united, with one ideology and a common goal.”
He emphasized Giade’s historical contribution to the APC’s electoral success.
“It should be noted that Giade is a stronghold of APC. In the 2019 elections, Giade ranked third in votes delivered to the party, and also third in membership registration. This gathering further confirms our strength and unity.”
In his remarks, the newly elected APC State Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Mohammed Na’iya, described his position as an opportunity to serve the people.
“I see this office as a pathway to serve the people of Giade, Bauchi State, and Nigeria at large. I seek your prayers because without your support, we cannot achieve our goals.”
He stressed the importance of unity ahead of future elections.
“Everyone knows elections are approaching. We hope to use this position to ensure victory for APC. The party has strong grassroots support in Bauchi State, but disunity has been our major challenge.”
Alhaji Na’iya assured party members of fairness and inclusiveness in his leadership.
“I have dedicated myself to ensuring justice and fairness for all within the party so that we can achieve success. I call on the people to understand that APC stands for the good of Nigerians and does not promote policies that harm the public.”
The event ended with renewed commitments from party members to strengthen unity and work towards electoral victory in future polls.
