Bauchi Assembly Chief Whip Hosts Memorable Iftar for Staff, Journalists.

By Muhammad Adamu

In a heartfelt gesture of unity and camaraderie, the Spokesperson and Chief Whip of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Musa Wakili Nakwada, hosted a special Iftar for the Assembly staff and Parliamentary Correspondents.

The event, held at the Bauchi State Assembly Mosque, was more than just a communal meal—it was an opportunity to strengthen ties and foster mutual respect between the lawmaker and the Assembly workforce. Unlike many who delegate such events, Nakwada personally attended the gathering, engaging with staff and journalists, sharing meals, and exchanging prayers in the spirit of Ramadan.

Addressing attendees, the lawmaker, who represents Bogoro Constituency, emphasized the essence of Ramadan—compassion, generosity, and unity. He noted that organizing the Iftar was his way of appreciating the staff’s dedication while encouraging continued teamwork for the progress of Bauchi State.

North-East Vice President of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Comrade Isiyaka Jibrin Gital, lauded the gesture, describing it as a testament to Nakwada’s commitment to the welfare of Assembly staff. He stressed that beyond breaking fast, the gathering symbolized a deeper connection between leadership and subordinates.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of PASAN Bauchi Chapter, Comrade Adamu Yusuf, hailed Nakwada’s generosity, calling his outreach “unprecedented” and a reflection of true servant leadership.

The evening was not only a moment of spiritual reflection but also a demonstration of inclusive leadership—one that values unity, gratitude, and the human connections that strengthen governance.
