Bauchi Ministry Donates N500,000 to State Contingents at National Youth Games

The Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has donated the sum of five hundred thousand naira to the state contingents participating in the ongoing National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The overseeing Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, presented the donation on behalf of the Commissioner, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, while addressing the contingents at their camp in Asaba.

Alhaji Ibrahim explained that the gesture was designed to motivate the athletes and officials to give their best performance as the games commence tomorrow.

He noted that the support would benefit athletes, coaches, secretaries, security personnel, medical staff, drivers, and other officials in the Bauchi State delegation.

The Permanent Secretary further urged the athletes, coaches, and technical crew to demonstrate hard work and commitment in order to make the state proud at the end of the competition.

Responding on behalf of the athletes, Jacob Paul, a beach volleyball player, expressed gratitude to the ministry for the financial support and assured that the team would reciprocate by putting in their best throughout the tournament.
