Among the high-profile cases highlighted during the briefing was the arrest of a nine-man armed robbery syndicate that stormed the residence of one Abdulkadir Garba in Bauchi on July 12, 2025, and carted away valuables including smartphones, laptops, and cash transfers amounting to ₦3.3 million. A pistol with 15 rounds of live ammunition was recovered from the suspects. In another development, police operatives attached to the Safer Highway Unit intercepted a Toyota Corolla along the Bauchi-Jos Road, which was found to have been stolen from Rivers State. The suspect, identified as Salisu Ibrahim, confessed to belonging to a syndicate specializing in car theft across states. Similarly, detectives from Jama’are Division arrested one Stanley Lukman, a dismissed Army personnel, who was found in possession of stolen vehicles including a Volkswagen Vento, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Golf vehicle.
