The Bauchi State Ministry of Lands and Survey has secured approval for the creation of additional Directorates aimed at enhancing efficiency, productivity, and service delivery within the ministry.

Estate Surveyor and Valuer, Sanusi Abdullahi, Acting Director of the ministry, disclosed this development during an interview with journalists in his office.

According to him, the new Directorates approved include Inspection and Monitoring, Valuation, and Open Registry, all of which are expected to strengthen the ministry’s capacity in land administration and related services.

Sanusi Abdullahi commended the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the Commissioner of Lands and Survey, as well as the Head of Service, for their commitment and support in ensuring that the long-awaited approval was granted.

The approval according to him is a major step in strengthening institutional frameworks for land administration in Bauchi State, positioning the ministry to better respond to the needs of residents, investors, and other stakeholders.

“We are delighted with this milestone achievement. For over a decade, the ministry has been pursuing the creation of these Directorates without success, but today, under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, this has become a reality,” Abdullahi said.

He explained that the establishment of the new Directorates would open the ministry for greater efficiency, ease the workload, and improve service delivery to the public.

Also speaking, the Head of Inspection and Monitoring which was also upgraded, Comrade Sale Umar Misau, expressed optimism that the development would accelerate the pace of work within the ministry.

“With this upgrade, our operations will be faster, better coordinated, and more transparent. It will also make the work of our staff easier and more result-oriented,”
Misau stated.

He assured that staff of the ministry would give their full cooperation to anyone appointed as Director to ensure a seamless workforce that aligns with the vision of the state government in transforming land management and survey operations.
