Bauchi State Government Appoints New Programme Manager for BSADP

The Bauchi State Government has appointed Ya’u Mohammed as the Programme Manager of the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme (BSADP). The appointment, approved by the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, takes immediate effect.

This was disclosed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, dated November 13, 2024. The letter highlighted Mohammed’s loyalty, responsibility, and extensive experience as the key factors behind his selection for the role.

According to the letter, the appointment comes at a critical time when the state government is intensifying its efforts to diversify the economy and address prevailing economic challenges by leveraging the agricultural sector. The government expressed confidence in Mohammed’s ability to lead BSADP in achieving these goals.

The SSG emphasized the importance of transparency and adherence to due process in the discharge of Mohammed’s responsibilities. Furthermore, he urged the appointee to declare his assets at the Code of Conduct Bureau, as required by the Constitution.

“The decision to appoint you to this very important office is informed by your absolute loyalty, high sense of responsibility, and your wealth of experience,” the letter read in part.

The Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme plays a pivotal role in improving agricultural productivity, supporting farmers, and enhancing food security across the state. Mohammed’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the program’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.

The new Programme Manager is set to assume office immediately, with assurances of the government’s support in carrying out his duties effectively.
