“Celebrating Empowerment in Bauchi: First Lady Aishatu Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Urges Women to Embrace Entrepreneurship for Self-Reliance”

The need for women and youth in Bauchi state to engage in economic ventures to be self-reliant and employers of labour has been stressed.

Bauchi State’s First Lady, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad, stated this during an empowerment program by Bauchi local government area for over 2,500 individuals.

Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad who commended the Chairperson of Bauchi Local Government, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko, for initiating the program said the move would impact the lives of the beneficiaries, particularly women known for their resourcefulness in sustaining businesses with minimal resources.

She urged the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously which ranges from five, twenty, and fifty thousand naira and assured them of her support.

She’s also emphasized the importance of protecting children, especially girls, against societal challenges like rape.

The Chairperson of Bauchi local government area Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko attributed the empowerment program to the mentorship of the Bauchi State First Lady.

Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko thanked Governor Bala Muhammad for promoting women’s participation in decision-makingand urged him to sustain the tempo.
Correspondent Zainab Faruq reports that beneficiaries included 245 junior civil servants, 100 social media members and 2,000 women with the total empowerment value worth over seventeen million Naira.
