The Forum of Local Government Councillors in Bauchi State has commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for what it described as his visionary leadership and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

The commendation was made during an event marking the one-year anniversary of councillors in office, held at the Conference Hall of Bauchi Local Government Secretariat.

Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Khalid Umar Muhammad, said the gathering was aimed at reaffirming their vote of confidence in Governor Bala Muhammad as well as the Bauchi Local Government Chairman and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Mahmoud Babamaji Abubakar.

He described Babamaji as an exemplary leader who has continued to support the 323 councillors across the state in discharging their responsibilities effectively.

According to him, councillors are determined to mobilize people at both rural and urban levels to sustain their support and prayers for Governor Bala Muhammad. He further assured that the councillors would work tirelessly to ensure victory for the aspirant to be nominated by the governor in the 2027 general elections.

Also speaking, the Forum’s Secretary, Hon. Mas’ud Hassan Ningi, alongside Hon. Abubakar Adamu, councillor representing Kundum/Durum Ward, and Hon. Aishatu Muhammad Gwani, councillor representing Makama “A” in Bauchi and Ningi Local Government Areas, pledged their continuous support to the governor.

They urged the Forum to strengthen collaboration with the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to enhance service delivery at the grassroots.
