The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has inaugurated the 2025 Annual National Food Intervention Project, valued at N16 billion, to benefit one million Nigerians across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Kano on Thursday, Chairman of the Foundation, Aliko Dangote, represented by the Executive Director, Hajiya Mariya Aliko Dangote, said the initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to addressing economic challenges and supporting vulnerable communities.

She stated that the project entails the distribution of one million 10kg bags of rice to the poor and most vulnerable Nigerians across the 774 local government areas, in line with the foundation’s core values of compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility.

Hajiya Mariya further emphasized that the foundation remains focused on improving the living conditions of Nigerians through various support programs, particularly in tackling hunger and water scarcity.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of ADF, Zouera Youssoufou, reaffirmed Dangote’s commitment to giving back to society and supporting government efforts in the fight against poverty and hunger.

Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdulsalam, commended Aliko Dangote for his philanthropic efforts, describing the initiative as a unique and commendable gesture. He urged other wealthy Nigerians to emulate Dangote in providing relief to the less privileged across the country.
