Gombe to host 5th FrontFoot Media Initiative training for Journalist on Audit Reporting

About 40 selected Journalist will converge in GOMBE state for the 5th Media Audit Reporting Workshop organized by Media and capacity-building NGO FrontFoot media Initiative.

The FrontFoot Media Initiative will hold the training under the auspices of the Wole Soyinka Center for investigate Journalism and the sponsorship of the MacArthur foundation.

In a press release, the director of FrontFoot media, Mr Emeka Izeze Said as a testament to inclusivity and reaching FrontFoot training initiatives, the program will feature Forty participants from Adamawa, Plateau, Bauchi and Taraba states.

Governor Inuwa Muhammed Yahaya of Gombe state may address the participants in line with an agenda of openness and accountability while a past president of the institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria, an internal Auditor of Premium Pensions Abuja and an ICAN fellow, Mr Ismaila Zakari will lead the training.

It added that the training will be supported by a fellow of ICAN and internal Auditor at Premium Pensions Abuja Mr Yusuf Doma which their expertise and guidance will ensure a high-quality learning experience for all participants.

The news release sighed by the training Director FrontFoot Media Initiative Mr Chido Nwakanma, described the program a flagship capacity development programme of FrontFoot initiative, it’s also a collaborative Media Engagement for Development inclusivity and accountability project.

Mr Chido Nwakanma added that the team accompanied by experts in the field work in the pre-selected states where they conduct free training for Journalist.

Participants according to the statement participants will learn how to and where to locate the relevant reports, interpret the material and write engaging news stories and features that enlighten and empower the electorate and discourage impunity.

Previous trainings of the FrontFoot media initiative were held in Benin, Awka, Abuja and Lagos states.
