Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed has approved the lifting of the suspension recently placed on the Executive Chairman of Ningi local government area of the state, Mamuda Hassan Tabla.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, indicated that the reinstatement of the council chairman is with immediate effect.
“The lifting of the suspension and reinstatement of the Ningi Local Government Chairman followed the review of the case of his alleged involvement in the sales of parcels of land to farmers in Lame/Burra Game Reserve.”
Reacting to the development, the reinstated Ningi local government chairman, Mamuda Hassan Tabla expressed gratitude to Governor Bala for reinstating him back to his seat and declared total commitment toward tackling illegal land allocation, and felling of trees for commercial gratifications at the reserve.
The chairman assured the governor of the continued support and cooperation of the local government to his administration for the success of his administration, particularly in the area of delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
“I am grateful to the people of Ningi local government for their sympathy to me during my suspension period and I want us to continue to pray for us for better service delivery. My coming back to the office is a challenge to me to provide the needed leadership to my people because of their love, solidarity and prayers to me.”
