A renowned Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of Umar Bin Abdul’aziz Juma’at Mosque, Dr. Usman Ibrahim Giade, has described the ongoing crisis between Iran and Israel as a struggle driven by selfish interests, with the parties involved seeking to dominate the Palestinian region.
Dr. Giade made the observation while delivering a lecture organized by the Jam’iyyatul Birri Association at the Late Shehu Awak Mosque, Old GRA, Bauchi. The event was aimed at creating public awareness on the current conflict in the Middle East.

In his remarks at the event, the District Head of Miri, Alhaji Hussaini Abubakar, called for unity among members of the Izala group to enable the public to better understand the group’s objectives. He noted that without unity among members, especially scholars, the effective propagation of Islam would face challenges.
The District Head also commended the Jam’iyyatul Birri Association for its efforts in supporting orphans and less-privileged women, as well as for establishing Islamiyya schools in different parts of the state to facilitate Islamic education.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Ameerah of the association, Hajiya Aisha Bintu Musa Awak, explained that Jam’iyyatul Birri was established with the aim of supporting orphans and vulnerable individuals in pursuing their education from primary to tertiary levels.
