NIPR To Hold Five-Day Retreat for Newly Elected Council Members

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has concluded arrangements for a five-day retreat for its newly elected Governing Council members, led by Dr Ike Neliaku.

A member of the Council representing the Bauchi State Chapter, Alhaji Kabir Ali Kobi, disclosed this while speaking on the preparations for the retreat, which is scheduled to take place from Sunday, 20th to Friday, 25th July 2025 at the Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Alhaji Kobi, who is also the Registrar of the Bauchi State College of Agriculture, revealed that the new NIPR Council will be formally inaugurated by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, as part of activities lined up for the retreat.

He stated that during the retreat, Council members will participate in a roundtable discussion on Building a Sustainable Future for NIPR and will consider reports from specific committees constituted by the Institute.

Alhaji Kobi further disclosed that Council members will also receive briefings on the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum, which will be hosted by the NIPR in Abuja next year. He commended the President and Chairman of Council, Dr Ike Neliaku, for securing the hosting rights for Nigeria.
