The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has reiterated its commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability, declaring that it possesses a strong political blueprint capable of transforming Nigeria.
The party made the declaration on December 30, 2025, during a stakeholders’ meeting held at its secretariat in Bauchi State. The meeting brought together party leaders and members to review progress made so far and fine-tune strategies ahead of future elections.
In his keynote address, the North-East Zonal Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bashir Yakubu Ahmad, said the NNPP was deliberately structured to promote internal democracy and credible leadership. He explained that the party’s framework places premium value on integrity, accountability, and genuine service to the people.
Alhaji Bashir Yakubu Ahmad further stressed that the NNPP would not compromise its standards, noting that strict screening processes would be enforced to ensure that only credible, transparent, and qualified aspirants emerge to contest elections on the party’s platform. According to him, this approach would clearly distinguish the NNPP from other political parties and help restore public confidence in governance.
Earlier, the Bauchi State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulkarim S. Matori, said the NNPP was making steady and deliberate preparations ahead of the next general elections. He disclosed that the party had intensified grassroots mobilisation and internal consultations aimed at strengthening its presence across the state. He urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s vision.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman, North, Alhaji Idris Muhammad, highlighted the progress recorded by the party in the zone despite existing challenges. He attributed the growth in membership and visibility of the party to improved coordination and commitment among party leaders.
Similarly, the Vice Chairman, Bauchi South, Abdullahi Kalifa Adamu, pledged his full support for the party’s leadership, assuring members of his readiness to work towards the success of the NNPP at all levels.
The meeting ended with a renewed call on party members to remain focused on the ideals of the NNPP and work collectively towards building a credible alternative for effective governance.
