NSC Pledges Commitment To Health of personnel

The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS Colonel Hamid Ali (retired) has said that the health and safety of the workforce of the service received greater attention for optimum service delivery.
The Comptroller General said this while declaring the Annual Medical Retreat of Nigerian Customs Service at Zaranda Hotel Bauchi.
 He said NCS will not relent on its toes unless its personnel get the health service that they best deserve.

Colonel Ali said the retreat is to provide the opportunity for the leadership and principals officers of the service with a view to come up with actionable recommendations that will improve the effectiveness of the personnel and identify problems as well as proper solutions.

The Comptroller General who was represented by ACG Jack Ajagu noted that the medical team will carry out medical outreach to some communities of Bauchi state as part of its corporate social responsibility.

He called on the benefiting communities to make good use of the medical outreach by the service.

In his remark, the state Governor Bala Muhammad said his administration placed a premium on the health of its citizens, hence its resolve to declare a state of emergency in the health sector of the state and constructed hospitals, primary health care facilities among others.

Represented by his Deputy, Senator Baba Tela said the state government is ready to partner with relevant stakeholders, military and para-military establishments and NGOs with a view to improving the health status of its citizens.
