The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Bauchi State Command, has deployed 1,100 personnel to ensure safety of lives and property the state during the 2025 Christmas Year festivities season.
This was disclosed in a press release issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commandant of Corps Saminu Yusuf, on December 22, 2025, in Bauchi State Command Headquarters today.
The Commandant, Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde, said the deployment covers covert and overt operations, joint patrols of flashpoints, protection of critical assets, infrastructure, worship centres, parks, eateries, banks, and hotels statewide.
He charged Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, leaders, officers and men to remain diligent, focused and professional, intensify patrols, dominate public spaces, and proactive and vigilant before, during, and after celebrations.
The Commandant advised residents to avoid actions capable of breaching security, urging them to promptly report suspicious movements or activities to the nearest NSCDC office for swift response during festivities.
He reassured residents of Bauchi State of adequate security arrangements, noting that the Corps is collaborating with other security agencies to ensure safe, and hitch free Christmas and Year celebrations.
The Commandant extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to officers, men, and residents, reaffirming the NSCDC Bauchi State Command’s commitment to protecting lives, property, and sustaining public confidence statewide.
