The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, has appointed Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi as the Zonal Director for the North-East zone, effective immediately.
According to a statement by Malam Danmusa Muhammad, Media Officer of the NOA Bauchi State Directorate, the North-East zone comprises six states: Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, and Borno.
The appointment is part of the NOA’s efforts to strengthen institutional coordination, enhance public communication, and deepen citizens’ engagement across the country. Alhaji Nuru Kobi’s vast experience in public service is expected to drive these initiatives in the North-East region.
As Zonal Director, Alhaji Kobi will provide leadership in implementing key NOA programmes, with a focus on promoting national unity, patriotism, and civic responsibility. He will also sensitize the public on government policies, programmes, and achievements.
Alhaji Kobi’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to boost the NOA’s presence in the North-East, a region that has faced security challenges in recent years. His leadership is expected to enhance the agency’s outreach and engagement with local communities.
Prior to his appointment, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi served as Director of Planning, Research, and Strategy at the NOA National Headquarters in Abuja. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role, having worked on various projects and initiatives aimed at promoting national development.
The NOA Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, expressed confidence in Alhaji Kobi’s ability to deliver on his mandate, saying, “I am confident that Alhaji Nuru Kobi will bring his expertise and passion to this new role, driving the NOA’s mission in the North-East.”
Alhaji Kobi has pledged to work tirelessly to promote national unity, peace, and development in the North-East, saying, “I am honored to take on this new challenge and look forward to working with stakeholders to drive positive change in the region.”
