The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Youths Forum has expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s ability to reclaim power in the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made during a press briefing following a condolence visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, at the Government House, Bauchi.
The forum, comprising youth leaders from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, highlighted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s failure to address key challenges facing the country. The group described the APC’s tenure as one marred by insecurity, economic hardship, and poor governance.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, Hon. Jamilu Aliyu Karshingi, Chairman of the Forum and Gombe State PDP Youth Leader, stated, “We have strong hope that our great party, the PDP, will take over power in 2027. The APC has failed Nigerians and plunged the country into abject misery, insecurity, and other predicaments.”
Hon. Karshingi commended Governor Bala Muhammad’s leadership style, describing his developmental strides as a model for what Nigeria requires. He also expressed optimism that the PDP’s well-crafted blueprint offers practical solutions to the nation’s myriad challenges, positioning the party as the only credible alternative to the APC.
“The PDP’s blueprint is a robust tool to address the numerous challenges Nigerians face today. With the exemplary leadership of Governor Bala and other PDP governors, we are confident in reclaiming the mandate to lead the country,” he said.
Brown Odey Boniface, Cross River State PDP Youth Leader, reinforced the sentiment, urging Nigerians to remain hopeful for a brighter future under the PDP. “The APC has failed to deliver on its promises, but we in the PDP have a proven track record of bringing development and putting smiles on Nigerians’ faces. The narrative will change positively in 2027,” he emphasized.
Babangida Maliya, Bauchi State PDP Youth Leader and host of the forum’s gathering, praised Governor Bala for his commitment to youth inclusion in governance. “Governor Bala Abdulkadir has shown exemplary leadership by appointing young people to key positions in his administration. This demonstrates his confidence in the youth and their ability to drive meaningful change,” Maliya said.
The forum pledged its unwavering support to Governor Bala Muhammad and other PDP governors, describing them as beacons of hope for the nation’s future.
“We are solidly behind Governor Bala Muhammad and other PDP governors. Their leadership style and developmental projects are exactly what the country needs to overcome its current challenges,” Hon. Karshingi reiterated.
The PDP State Youths Forum assured Nigerians of their commitment to mobilizing youth across the country to work toward the party’s victory in 2027. “We are not just predicting victory; we are working tirelessly to ensure it,” Karshingi added.
As the PDP Youths Forum rallies for 2027, they remain confident that their efforts, combined with the party’s vision and leadership, will restore hope and deliver the Nigeria that citizens desire.
