Kautal Fulako Fulbe Association Denies Suspension Claims by Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Leadership

By Usman Abdullahi Damau

The National Public Relations Officer of the Kautal Fulako Fulbe Association of Nigeria, Haruna Idris Bayero, has refuted the recent claims made by the national leadership of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore under Dr. Bello Burejo, alleging the suspension of three of its former state chairmen from Bauchi, Adamawa, and Taraba States.

Speaking during a visit to Albarka Radio Bauchi, Bayero described the suspension claims as false and misleading, stressing that the affected leaders—among them Dr. Hussaini Buzaye, the current National President of the Kautal Fulako Association—had resigned from Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore long before the alleged suspension was announced.

“You cannot suspend what is no longer part of you,” Bayero said. “These leaders voluntarily resigned their positions and have since moved on to form and lead the Kautal Fulako Fulbe Association of Nigeria, which is focused on supporting pastoralists to overcome the challenges they face across the country.”

He dismissed the allegations of mistrust and lack of performance cited in the purported suspension statement, calling them “malicious and baseless.”

“There was no petition or investigation against them as claimed. These are patriotic leaders who performed excellently while in office. In fact, Dr. Hussaini Buzaye was one of the most outstanding chairmen of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore nationwide,” Bayero added.

He further commended the Bauchi State Government for maintaining peaceful coexistence between herders and farmers, noting that Dr. Buzaye’s leadership contributed significantly to the creation and protection of grazing routes and reserves in the state.

Bayero urged the public and relevant authorities to disregard the press statement issued by the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore leadership, describing it as an attempt to tarnish the reputation of credible leaders who have chosen a new direction.

“Our focus remains clear — to unite Fulani pastoralists under a responsible platform and promote peace, development, and understanding among communities across Nigeria,” he concluded.
