The Northern Coalition Support Groups for Tinubu/Kashim has commended a Bauchi-based politician, Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK, for his contributions to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, calling for his strategic recognition by the federal government.
The commendation was part of resolutions reached at the coalition’s 10th Advisory Conference held in Abuja, where political stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers and party supporters reviewed the progress of the Renewed Hope political movement and made recommendations to the administration.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the coalition described Inuwa as a “patriot, seasoned technocrat and grassroots mobiliser” whose consistent loyalty and commitment have strengthened the ruling party’s structure, particularly in the North-East.
The group noted that Inuwa had been an early supporter of President Tinubu, even before the 2023 presidential election, and had played a significant role in mobilising grassroots support across Bauchi State and the wider region.
It highlighted his political track record to include serving as Bauchi State Youth Leader during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries, membership of the Presidential Campaign Council on grassroots engagement in the North-East, and coordination roles in both the Tinubu Support Organisation and Tinubu Support Movement in Bauchi State and across the North-East zone.
The coalition also recalled his previous role as Special Assistant on Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution to former Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, where he contributed to promoting dialogue and stability.
According to the communiqué, Inuwa’s political journey reflects “courage, loyalty and conviction,” noting that he remained steadfast in his support for President Tinubu despite differing political affiliations within his family.
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, a senior spokesperson said individuals who demonstrate consistent loyalty and grassroots engagement should be recognised to strengthen governance.
“Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK represents the spirit of dedication and grassroots leadership that defines the Renewed Hope movement. His contributions across the North-East make him a strategic asset to the administration,” the spokesperson said.
The coalition further stressed that rewarding competence and loyalty would help consolidate political stability and enhance the implementation of government policies.
Participants at the conference reaffirmed their support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, pledging continued mobilisation of grassroots support and promotion of national unity.
The group concluded by urging the government to engage and recognise committed technocrats and mobilisers whose efforts, it said, are critical to the success of the administration’s developmental agenda.
The statement was signed by Hon. Muhammad Shehu Baihaki on behalf of the Advisory Conference Secretariat.
