The Inspector-General of Police Alkali Baba has on Saturday appointed Olumuyiwa Adejobi to succeed Frank Mba as the Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force NPF.
In a statement by Admin Officer at the force Public Relations Department Benjamin Hundeyin, said the appointment of Adejobi was sequel to the nomination of the outgone PPRO Frank Mba for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS Kuru, in Jos Plateau State.
The statement said the appointed Officer takes charge with immediate effect. “The Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, has handed over the duties and responsibilities of the Force Public Relations Department to his Deputy, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, mnipr, mipra, who takes charge of the Department with immediate effect.”
“This change of baton follows CP Mba’s nomination by the Inspector-General of Police for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.” The statement said.
The statement added that CSP Ademoji is an experienced Communicator and image manager who has achieved tremendously in his previous appointments.
Mr Adejobi, a Chief Superintendent of Police, studied Archeology and Geography (Combined Honours), Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies all from the University of Ibadan where he is presently an alumnus of the institution.
He was the Spokesperson for Ogun State Command between 2008 and 2016, for Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos in 2016 and for Lagos State Police Command between September 2020 and August 2021.
The new spokesman is a member of several professional bodies and associations which include: International Public Relations Association IPRA, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR, Institute of Corporate Administration, Point man Leadership Institute, USA, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police IACP, USA.
