The Commissioner of Finance in Bauchi State, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, Sarkin Fadan Giade, has extended a major empowerment gesture to youths and community members, with the distribution of trade prizes and cash support.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment package received stocking capital of ₦500,000 each for fuelling businesses, alongside motorcycles presented to vibrant youths in recognition of their contributions to community development.

Speaking during the event, Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations to the Bauchi State Governor, Hon. Mahmoud Abba Yana, commended Dr. Adamu for what he described as a “loud and impactful gesture” that touches the lives of the people directly.

“This is not just empowerment; it is a clear demonstration of leadership that uplifts communities. On behalf of all the beneficiaries, I extend deep gratitude to Dr. Yakubu Adamu. His generosity has not gone unnoticed, and the people are truly grateful,” Hon. Yana said.

He also lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his foresight and commitment to youth inclusion in governance, noting that the appointment of Dr. Adamu reflects visionary leadership that enables initiatives such as this.

The empowerment exercise, supervised by a distribution committee chaired by Alhaji Mustapha Baba Ilela, was praised for its transparency and fairness. The state party chairman, Permanent Secretary Samaila Burga, was represented at the occasion by the three zonal chairmen of the party.

In a related gesture, SSA on Youths, Alhaji Bala Rambo, donated two motorcycles to youths as a show of support and appreciation for Dr. Adamu’s initiative.

Participants at the event also joined calls from several quarters of the state urging Dr. Adamu to consider contesting for higher political office, even as a successor to Governor Bala Mohammed, citing his leadership qualities and growing popularity.

“This is indeed a new chapter of empowerment and progress in Bauchi State,” Hon. Yana concluded.
