The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has participated in the Renewed Hope Initiative Food Outreach Programme held in Gusau, aimed at providing humanitarian support to vulnerable residents.
The outreach programme, which brought together spouses of the 19 Northern Governors, was designed to strengthen social welfare interventions and support low-income households across the region.
The event featured the official flag-off of food item distribution to about 600 vulnerable individuals and families in Zamfara State as part of efforts to cushion the effects of economic hardship.
The initiative, known as the Renewed Hope Initiative Food Outreach Programme, is championed by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and was represented at the event by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, who reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable citizens.
Speaking at the occasion, stakeholders emphasized the importance of sustained humanitarian interventions in addressing poverty and food insecurity across the country.
The Bauchi First Lady joined other dignitaries in advancing the programme’s objectives, describing it as a vital step toward supporting families in need.
