By Muhammad Sani Muazu

Re-elected Council Member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Alhaji Kabir Ali Kobi, has expressed profound gratitude to members of the Bauchi State Chapter of the Institute for their overwhelming support and sacrifices that led to his successful re-election during the just-concluded Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Alhaji Kabir, who is also the Registrar of the Bauchi State College of Agriculture, made the commendation while reflecting on the week-long event, which brought together over 1,000 PR practitioners and communication scholars from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

He attributed his return to the Governing Council for another two-year term to the tireless efforts and commitment of the Chapter Executives, the Planning Committee, and the entire Team Bauchi delegation to the Annual General Meeting and Council Elections of the Institute.

“I must commend the Bauchi State delegation, ably led by our Chapter Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Rabiu Wada, for their strategic coordination and commitment that contributed immensely to our collective success in Uyo,” he stated.

Alhaji Kabir also used the occasion to congratulate the Bauchi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman, on his formal induction into the Institute. He equally celebrated the installation of Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa Bello, Chairman of the Chapter’s Elders Advisory Committee, as a Fellow of the NIPR.

Meanwhile, the newly constituted 17-member Council of the NIPR has elected Dr. Ike Neliaku as President and Chairman of Council, while Professor Emmanuel S. Dandaura was elected Vice President and Vice Chairman of Council through an Electoral College process.
