NUJ Bauchi Sympathizes with Albarka Radio Over Technical Breakdown

The Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commiserated with the management of Albarka Radio Bauchi following a recent technical breakdown that temporarily disrupted the station’s broadcast.

A delegation led by the NUJ State Chairman, Comrade Umar Sa’idu, paid a solidarity visit to the station and described the incident as a setback not only to journalists in Bauchi State but also to the wider Nigerian media industry.

Comrade Sa’idu commended the management of Albarka Radio for its swift response in tackling the challenge, noting that the prompt action demonstrated professionalism, resilience, and commitment to service. He also praised the founder of the station for providing a platform that has continued to amplify the voice of the people.

The NUJ chairman urged the management and staff to regard the setback as a test of faith and encouraged them not to be discouraged. He offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the station’s broadcast operations.

Responding, the Managing Director of Albarka Radio, Engineer Umar Ladan Salihu, expressed gratitude to the NUJ leadership for the visit, describing it as a morale booster for the entire staff.

While acknowledging the severity of the breakdown, he assured listeners that the station’s technical team, in partnership with external experts, is working tirelessly to restore normal transmission.

Engineer Salihu reaffirmed Albarka Radio’s commitment to its audience, stressing that the station remains focused on providing credible news, entertainment, and public enlightenment. He appealed to listeners and stakeholders to remain patient and supportive during the recovery process.

He further disclosed that plans are underway to upgrade the station’s equipment and infrastructure in order to forestall similar incidents in the future, emphasizing the importance of continuous investment in modern broadcast technology.
