The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested eleven suspects in connection with the killing of 29-year-old Ahmad Lawan, popularly known as Soje, in the Sabon Kasuwa area of Bauchi metropolis.
Lawan, described by the police as a suspected member of the Sara-Suka gang, was attacked in his residence on 2 October 2025. According to the Command, two assailants visited his home at about 8:25 a.m., stabbed him in the chest when he responded to their knock, and fled.
Police operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer of D Division, CSP Mubarak Sani Baba, rushed the victim to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. His remains were later released to the family for burial.
