All arrangements have been finalised for the 8th, 9th and 10th combined convocation ceremony of Sa’adu Zungur University, scheduled to hold on Saturday at its Main Campus in Gadau.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fatima Tahir, disclosed this during a press briefing held at the Senate Conference Hall of the university.
She said a total of 11,813 students would graduate during the combined ceremony, comprising 8,387 males and 3,426 females.

Providing a breakdown of the results, the Vice-Chancellor stated that 216 students graduated with First Class honours, 3,438 with Second Class Upper Division, and 5,603 with Second Class Lower Division. According to her, 2,353 students obtained Third Class honours, while 243 graduated with Pass degrees.
At the postgraduate level, Professor Tahir said the university produced 443 graduates, including 25 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) holders, 145 Academic Masters, 241 Professional Masters, and 32 Postgraduate Diplomas.
She further noted that the 2023/2024 academic session recorded the highest number of postgraduate graduates, with 182.
Professor Tahir added that the convocation ceremony would be chaired by former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Abdu Sule Katagum, who holds the traditional title of Wazirin Katagum.
