Bauchi State Government has launched the 2025 Wet Season Farming and Fertilizer Sales initiative, marking a significant milestone in the state’s agricultural calendar.
The event was officially flagged off by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed at a grand ceremony held in Gajin Duguri, Alkaleri Local Government Area.
In his address, Governor Mohammed reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for the farming community.
He opined that as part of the initiative, fertilizer will be sold at N20,000, making it more affordable for farmers to access essential inputs.
The Governor emphasized that the government will continue to invest in mechanized agriculture, youth training programs, and rural development initiatives to transform the sector into a major driver of the state’s economy.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by top government officials, traditional leaders, farmers’ cooperatives, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
