Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has joined thousands of sympathizers to the funeral prayer of the 9th emir of Jama’are Alhaji (Dr) Muhammed Wabi III.
The late Emir who died in the early hours of today at the age of 84 was buried in his palace in Jama’are.
Sympathizing with the emirate council shortly after the funeral prayer, governor Bala Mohammed described the death as shocking.
While eulogizing him, he said the late Emir lived a fulfilled life considering his immense contribution to the development of the emirate council and Nigeria in general.
Governor Bala Mohammed who condole with the family and people of Jama’are, prayed for the repose of late Emir and Grant him jannatul firdaus.
The late Alhaji (Dr) Muhammed Wabi III left behind two wives and 36 children.
Responding, the eldest son of the deceased, Nuhu Muhammed Wabi thanked governor Bala Mohammed for sympathizing with them.
Dignitaries who attended the funeral is the deputy governor, Senator Baba Tela, former governor of Bauchi Muhammed Abdulahi Abubakar, top Government officials, emirs of Bauchi, Ningi, Misau, Katagum and Dass.
Others are Emir of Potiskum in Yobe and Emir of Dutse in Jigawa state.
