The Bauchi Field Office of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has launched an extensive monitoring exercise to track the progress of constituency and executive projects across Bauchi State, valued at approximately ₦3,002,558,828.99.
Commencing on November 21, the exercise has already covered more than 60% of the 20 local government areas in the state. The projects under review include legislative constituency initiatives allocated to members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as federal executive special intervention programs executed by various agencies, including the North East Development Commission (NEDC), the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), and the National Commission for Refugees.
The projects span a wide range of sectors, including education, water, agriculture, rural infrastructure, rural electrification, and humanitarian services.
The ICPC’s monitoring initiative aims to ensure that these projects adhere to required standards and are completed within their prescribed timelines. This effort is part of the commission’s ongoing drive to enhance transparency and accountability in the execution of government-funded projects across the state.
