In a significant outreach effort, physically challenged groups and vulnerable households in Bauchi state are receiving vital support from the Northeast Development Commission through the Almuhibbah Foundation.
Hajiya Aishatu Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, the First Lady of Bauchi state and founder of Almuhibbah Foundation, highlighted the purpose of this initiative during the distribution of relief packages, which according to her is aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by vulnerable communities in the state.
Representing the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Baba Tela, the wife of the former deputy governor of Bauchi state, emphasized that over two thousand vulnerable households and various persons with disabilities will benefit from this humanitarian effort.
Underlining the crucial role of partnerships between non-profit organizations like Almuhibbah Foundation and government agencies, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad pledged the foundation’s commitment to addressing pressing social issues, particularly food insecurity.
At the event, Hajiya Ladi Thomas, the Executive Director of Almuhibbah Foundation, urged beneficiaries, including physically challenged individuals, widows, and orphans across Bauchi state, to use the received food items judiciously.
The foundation received 2000 bags of rice, 2000 bags of maize, 300 cartons of oil, among other items, from the Northeast Development Commission for distribution.
Hajiya Ladi Thomas assured that more support is on the way to aid vulnerable households in Bauchi state.
Representatives of the Deaf, blind, and spinal cord injury associations expressed gratitude at the event, commending both the Northeast Development Commission and Almuhibbah Foundation for their timely and impactful gesture in light of the current economic challenges.mic challenges.
