Sons and daughters of Chinade village, Katagum Local government area of Bauchi State, have converged to celebrate one of their own, who was recently promoted in his workplace.
The gathering was to celebrate Aminu Shehu Chinade, who was recently promoted from the rank of Brigadier General to Major General in the Nigerian Army.
At the reception organized by Chinade indigenes at Chinade Central Primary School, Ambassador J.D Chinade, who is the chairman of the occasion, extolled the philanthropic gesture of the celebrant, urged people of the area to continue to pray for his success.
Ambassador Chinade, who described the Major General, as a pillar to the entire people of the area, implored him to sustain his philanthropic gesture for speedy growth and development of the area.
While calling for more unity and understanding among all sons and daughters of the area, Ambassador Chinade, also urged other prominent Chinade indigenes to always remember their younger ones at home.
On his part, the celebrant, Major General Aminu Shehu Chinade, who was full of gratitude to the organizers of the event, said he would continue to serve his people and the entire Nigerians better.
During the event, Major General Aminu Chinade, established a foundation; Chinade Sons and Daughters for assisting orphans and vulnerable, where he donated 2million naira and later raised it to 5.5million naira by supporters.
