Bauchi First Lady Drums More Girl-Child Enrolment Into School

Aisha Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State First Lady has asked parents to pay more emphasis to the enrolment of the girl-child into both Western and Islamic schools to guarantee their future.

The First Lady made the call when she visited the venue of the ongoing National Quranic Recitation Competition currently holding in Bauchi.

She said to achieve a greater enrollment of girl-child into schools, teachers, on the other hand, ought to redouble their efforts towards providing a sound education to their students coupled with inculcating accepted societal values to win the trust of parents and guardians alike.

Aisha called on the participants to offer more prayer for the nation in view of the rising national challenges confronting the country ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Bauchi State Government in conjunction with Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto organised the 36th edition of the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition. However, Governor Bala Mohammed announced a donation of N100,000,000 to the local organising committee of the competition.

Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar declared the competition open last Saturday. The Competition brings participants from the 36 states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
